On September 28 at the Spaceplus Bangkok RCA in Bangkok, Thailand, experienced fighter from the United Kingdom, Denise Castle, will face Sana Hazuki from Japan, former East-Pacific champion. In this bout the WBC Silver Atom title will be on the line.
Castle hasn’t fought since March 2022, where she lost a split decision at Dubai’s Habtor Grand Hotel, while Hazuki is coming off a stoppage win in April 2023, where she defeated Thailand’s Watcharaporn Namphon.
Time away from the ring doesn`t phase Castle, who has fought at the portals and portcullis of world title level since 2014, “Being an atomweight means all my opponents are abroad and without a UK promoter, I’m used to fighting abroad with time between fights.”
Castle is famed and admired for her stamina and ring savvy, after going toe-to-toe with Bytqui for the WBC atomweight world title, and giving birth yet producing the 2018 women’s fight as voted by Women of Boxing.
Entering the ring with 18 fights, 9 wins with 3 knockouts, Sana Hazuki, a skilled fighter of high quality, is training in Okinawa, Japan for this important bout.
