Manuel Salatiel, a 19-year-old student in the fourth semester of Architecture, started boxing because of his love for the sport.
Also because he was a victim of bullying at his school and found in boxing a physical activity that taught him to defend himself, but also to channel the moments that he lived at his school. Now it’s a hobby.
“I am very happy to have this week here in Oaxaca, it means a lot to me because it is the sport that taught me to defend myself and that now makes me very happy.”
In the fitness boxing class Manuel Salatiel stood out for his precise punches and almost perfect guard:
“The jab is my best shot. Julio César Chávez, Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali are my favorites; I also like what I have seen from Pipino Cuevas, from Chiquita González and I am excited to know that they will be here.”
