Bridger Walker confirms attendance at WBC Annual Convention
The most important boxing event of the year, the 2023 World Boxing Council annual Convention will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and Bridger Walker is joining us.
In 2020, the entire world was deeply moved by the heroic act of then six-year-old Bridger Walker, who risked and almost lost his life, shielding his younger sister from a savage and sustained dog attack.
This heroism resulted in Bridger suffering severe injuries to his face due to bites from the dog. The story was shared by his aunt Nicole and became a great story of heroism, devotion and love.
Upon learning of such a brave action, the WBC sent Bridger an emblematic belt recognizing his immense courage and named him honorary world champion. His courage has touched millions of hearts.
Bridger will be a star of our Convention. The organizers and people of Uzbekistan are delighted to welcome the entire WBC family and show the world that it is great and hospitable country and a marvelous host of the most important boxing event.
