Undefeated World Boxing Council light heavyweight champion Russian Artur Beterbiev will defend his belt against German contender Adam Deines on October 23 in Moscow, Russia.
Originally Beterbiev (15-0, 15 KO), 35, was going to face Chinese, Meng Fanlong, but due to visa problems he could not make it.
Adam Deines (19-1-1, 10 KOs), 29, Russian-born and German national, will get his first world title shot. His only loss was to Fanlong, a 10-round decision in June 2019.
Beterbiev has seen no action since knocking out former Ukrainian champion Oleksandr Gvodzyk to unify the WBC and IBF titles in October last year.
Top Rank has made the official announcement of the fight that will be broadcast on ESPN.
