
World Boxing Council Super Featherweight champion Miguel “Alacrán” Berchelt and number one challenger Miguel “Mickey” Roman fight Saturday night at the Don Haskins Center stadium in El Paso, Texas.
Berchelt (34-1, 30 KOs), of Cancun, Mexico, is the 26-year-old champion seeking his fourth successful world title defense.
Román (60-12, 47 KOs), from Juárez, Mexico, is 32 years old and will make his third attempt to win a world title.
Berchelt and Roman have made weight for their anticipated world title clash. Both scaled in at 129.6 pounds.
