With a letter signed by the President of the WBC, Lic. Mauricio Sulaimán, the International Secretary Marcos Arienti, traveled to Mendoza. The letter was accompanied by financial aid, which the José Sulaimán Fund provides for these cases throughout the world.
“I want to send you my most affectionate greetings personally and on behalf of the entire team that makes up the World Boxing Council,” began the message written by Mauricio to the boxer from Mendoza.
It is the second assistance that Argentina receives from the WBC in this 2022. The first was for Ángel Ruiz Díaz, who is working hard on his recovery from the emergency surgery he underwent for a subdural hematoma.
Yesica Marcos is going through a tough economic situation. She lives in a precarious house that she built with her own hands on a small piece of land that one of her brothers lent her.
The request was submitted to the WBC Evaluation Committee by Arienti, at the request of Soledad Manrique, a young boxing teacher from Mendoza who had presented the case to him.
With this help, continues the list of boxers around the world who receive not only the support of the WBC, but mainly the accompaniment in such difficult times.
