WBC Cares Japan event was held at historical “City Cultural Hall” in Sasebo known as a naval base in the South Island of Japan on February 13th with Champions, wheelchair boxers, young boxers and senior boxers to be added for the 1st time.
Session with Champions
A) Following champions have participated in a talk session with many questions being asked by children.
Koki Kameda, Daiki Kameda, Takashi Koshimoto, Tatsuya Fukuhara, Yuko Kuroki, Sana Nazuki participated during this event.
B) Talk session by Hiroyuki Sakamoto
The talk session by Hiroyuki Sakamoto who told the story of how he was raised in an Orphanage and how boxing changed his life.
C) 1- Wheelchair boxing
The champions Yuko Kuroki and Sena Hazuki tried wheelchair boxing for the first time.
Both said, usually boxing uses a lot of leg works. But with wheelchair, the core of body is very important and uses more arms than regular boxing.
Sparring session
Mr.A, 58 years, had an accident 2 years ago and damaged his spine which left him disabled from chest down. He used to train boxing and now continue with wheelchair boxing.
“I am overwhelmed with this opportunity to show what I have trained and what I can still do after the terrible accident.”
D) Shadow boxing and boxing clinic
