Uruguayan knockout artist Amílcar Vidal (7-0, 7 KO) will defend the South American title of the World Boxing Council in the middleweight division against Argentine Martin Bulacio (9-3-0, 7 KO) on Friday May 10 next in the city of Maldonado.
Teledoce television (for all Uruguay) and TyC Sports (for Argentina and a large part of America) will broadcast the bonanza.
This was announced by the head of Sampson Boxing, Sampson Lewkowicz, at a press conference at the corporate building of Abitab SA, in Montevideo, Uruguay, which was also attended by Vidal himself. Plus the head of Abitab and the president of the Uruguayan Amateur and Professional Boxing Commission (CUBAP), Sergio Marquez.
The undefeated fighter stated: “I’m sure he will be my toughest opponent so far, but I also know that I’m going to prove my condition against him.”
Amílcar arrives at the fight after having achieved his most resounding triumph. A quick KO in the first round, with an accurate hook to the liver, against Carlos Capelari Cordovan, on January 29 at the Radisson Victoria Plaza Hotel, from Montevideo.
In addition to Vidal vs. Bulacio, Sampson Boxing is putting together a high-ranking international card. “Every two weeks we will announce the combats that will be added to the main fight,” Lewkowicz promised.
