The new WBC bantamweight champion Alexandro “Peque” Santiago zoomed into Martes a Cafe, to discuss his victory over Nonito Donaire at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada.
Alex was very happy to be able to answer a bevy of questions from the questions from the press, but above all, to be able to express his feelings and thank everyone who in one way or another led him to crystallize this dream, saying:
“I’m very happy. I have worked long and hard for this moment. I was facing a great fighter who, although it is true, is no longer going through his best moment, he is a dangerous rival; however, I believe that the key to my success was to focus and impose my boxing.
“This victory represents many things for me. I am the bantamweight champion and my next goal is to unify all the titles. Today is the era of Alexandro Santiago.”
The champ dedicated his title to his family, friends and of course, to his work team and stressed that before the end of 2023 he will get back into the ring this time to defend his cherished Green and Gold Belt.
