World Boxing Council super featherweight champion Miguel “Alacran” Berchelt and former world title holder Francisco “Bandido” Vargas are promising a classic Mexican encounter for their sizzling rematch.
Chapter two of their already fabled rivalry is booked for May 11th at the Convention Center in Tucson, Arizona. Experts and fans alike are expecting and predicting it could well be Fight of the Year.
Miguel and Francisco weere scheduled to fight on March 23rd, at the Forum in Inglewood, California. However, the match was temporarily postponed due to an injury sustained by the champion, who, up to now, has successfully defended his crown four times. While Vargas has won 2 fights in a row since he was shorn of the championship.
