Adams Lights up Christmas for hundreds of children through WBC Cares and Juguetón

Boxing is a unique sport, with many quirks that make it different from all others.

The vast majority of those who make up this beautiful discipline come from humble beginnings with great obstacles to overcome and dreams to fulfill.

However, many members of the boxing family also share a unique characteristic: Their big heart. Year after year, we witness acts of kindness, solidarity, and empathy, inside and outside the ring.

This week we realized a beautiful act of kindness as Carlos Adams, of Adams Footwear, joined WBC Cares and El Juguetón, donating four hundred pairs of sports shoes to children throughout Mexico. WBC Cares, directed in Mexico by Christiane Manzur, has been part of TV Azteca’s “Jugueton” campaign for several years now.

This campaign aims to call on the entire society to join in donating toys at TV Azteca facilities throughout the country to be delivered to girls and boys in vulnerable situations on the traditional January 6, Day of the Wise Kings. As part of the WBC Cares actions, Champions and members of the boxing family came together to collect the largest number of gifts that will reach thousands of children this Christmas season.

We are very proud to collaborate one more year with this project and we want to recognize in a special way the generous and loving act of Carlos Adams. Without a doubt, his valuable donation will be an act that will be forever kept in the hearts of thousands of Mexican children.
