Thai, Muangchai Kittikasem,  defended the WBC  flyweight crown defeating  south Korean,  Jungkoo Chang, by TKO in round 12. The  fight was at the Olympic Gymnasium in Seoul,  South  Korea.  Chang retired thereafter. The Referee was Tony Pérez. The Judges were Tom Kaczmarek, Chuck Giampa and Rudy Jordan.
