Californian Mando Ramos, regained his WBC lightweight championship  defeating Pedro Carrasco with a split decision, after fifteen bruising rounds.  The bout was staged at the Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California, in a promotion by Aileen Eaton.  The Referee was Lee Grossman. While the Judges were John Thomas and Dick Young.
