1975.- At the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, José “Mantequilla” Nápoles defended his WBC welterweight title by defeating Mexican Armando Muñiz by decision.

1980.- At the Wembley Conference Center, British Maurice Hope defended his WBC super welterweight title by knocking out Italian Rocco Mattioli in 11 rounds.

1987.- At the Sports Complex in Mérignac, France, Mexican Lupe Aquino defeated  American Duane Thomas by decision. In this fight the WBC super welterweight title was at stake.

1989.- In Atlantic City, New Jersey, Mike Tyson defended his WBC heavyweight title, knocking out Carl Williams in the first round.

2003.- Nicaraguan Ricardo Mayorga defeated American Vernon Forrest by decision in Las Vegas, Nevada. The WBC welterweight title was on the line in this bout.

2019.- Japanese Kenshiro Teraji defended his WBC light flyweight title by defeating Filipino Jonathan Taconing in 4 rounds. The match took place in Osaka, Japan.
