Mexican Humberto “Chiquita” Gonzalez, a southpaw converted to orthodox,  defended the WBC light flyweight championship, defeating South Korean challenger, Jung Koo Chang- a  former champion of the division. The bout took place at the Indoor Gymnasium in Daegu, South Korea. The Referee was Carlos Padilla,  while the Judges were Richard Murray, Tom Kaczmarek and Terry Smith.
