Shiro to defend WBC title against “Baby” Juarez
This Wednesday, in Japan, an end-of-year card was officially announced on December 30 at the Ota-City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan, and that will be televised by Fuji TV.
World Boxing Council light flyweight champion Ken Shiro (14-0, 8 KOs) will defend his crown against tough Mexican Saul “Baby” Juarez (24-8-2, 13). The “Smiling Assassin”, as the Japanese media call him, has had a great 2018, which already includes victories over Ganigan Lopez and Milan Melindo.
For Juarez this will be his second chance for the world crown, since in 2016 he contested the minimumweight title versus Thai champion Wanheng Menayothin, being defeated by decision.
