A thriller in store on September 10th between the WBC middleweight champion, Claressa Shields and the champion Savannah Marshall at the O2 Arena in London in England.
With their sights firmly set on combinations to unlock greatness, Claressa and Savannah are preparing hard, because it is not only to show who is the best middleweight. Shields is absolutely determined to make amends for the only loss she has boxing, when he faced Marshall as an amateur in 2012.
Complying and fully cooperating with all the protocols established by the WBC, both boxers have shown their total willingness to meet all the requirements of VADA (Voluntary Anti-Doping Association), since Claressa Shields and Savannah Marshall belong to the Clean Boxing Program (CBP).
It should be noted that the priority of the WBC is to work on education and awareness to help everyone involved in the sport learn the danger of the use of performance-enhancing substances (PED). The program is ambitious, and its main objective, apart from testing, is to educate athletes about the critical disadvantages that doping can cause, as well as the penalties of testing positive for prohibited substances, in or out of competition.
We want to recognize and praise the disposition of both champions, as this shows us their concern about the well-being and respect for our sport. In this way, both fighters report ready and focused on what promises to be a war from start to finish because the only belt that Claressa Shields lacks to be undisputed champion for the third time is precisely the one held by Savannah Marshall.
