Saturday night at the Manchester Arena in England, WBC super featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner (11-1, 7 knockouts), will defend her crown for the first time, against former world champion Edith Soledad Matthysse (17-11-1, 1 knockout).
At the official weigh-in, Baumgardner clocked 129.4 pounds, while Matthysse, who accepted the fight on short notice, was over the limit at 133.6 pounds.
The fight is the first for Baumgardner, since her sensational fourth-round knockout of former champion Terri Harper on Nov. 13 in Sheffield, England.
The bout is organized by Matchroom Boxing and will be televised on the DAZN app.
