The Uruguayan team is ready for the WBC Amateur Latin American Tournament

At the ABITAB halls, a press conference was held where Mr. Sergio Márquez, President of CUBAP (Uruguayan Commission of Amateur and Professional Boxing), introduced the diverse delegation that will represent the South American country in the Second WBC Amateur Latin American Tournament in São Paulo, Brazil.

“This is an unprecedented event in Uruguay, as boxers from FUB and CUBAP will participate on behalf of our amateur boxing. Hopefully, this will be a milestone that gives all the country’s boxers the opportunity to represent national boxing in international events,” Marquez stated at the press conference.

The Uruguayan delegation will consist of 28 members: 14 competitors (male and female), 7 coaches, 4 ring officials, 2 leaders, and 1 collaborator.

The tournament will take place at the Pirituba Sports Center, with confirmed participation from: Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, México, Ecuador, Bolivia and Venezuela.
