At our Coffee Tuesday, celebrated at the Hacienda de Cortes in the south of CDMX, the President of the WBC welcomed the tournament champions who were presented with their WBC Amateur belts, which endorses them as champions of this historic and unprecedented event.

For WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán, this was a historic event for amateur boxing, but especially for the hundreds of young people and children who gathered because this signifies the beginning of their dream as fighters.

“The incredible Otomi Ceremonial Center, the competition and the coexistence. I am sure these memories will always live on in your hearts and minds. It was a complicated process and there were some challenges, but we organized this tournament with the best intentions. There are many opportunities for all of us to continue growing and I am sure that Olympic champions and world champions will emerge from this group of winners. Congratulations to the champions of this great boxing event.”

Affable and genial Tournament Organizer Monroy González highlighted the sporting success that was generated and thanked the tremendous efforts of all those who from their corners put in their work to make the tournament a magnificent triumph.

This space was also used to thank Seyer for their support throughout the tournament. Without this helping and guiding hand, the success and celebration which followed would not have been possible.
