WBC Amateur Champions Shine in Northern Ireland

Ballycastle Amateur Boxing Club in County Antrim played hosts to the first ever WBC Amateur tournament in Northern Ireland last weekend. WBC representative Ricky Pow, flew from Alicante to oversee the sold-out event that took place at the Marine Hotel, and present the young boxers with medals for their participation in the show. There were 11 contests on the card, that featured local talent from the area, including Tomás McKee who was crowned the WBC amateur champion.

Ballycastle ABC is a new club to the area and just like boxing clubs across the world, it helps provide a safe & nurturing environment for young people to build their confidence, improve their fitness, and become champions. The aim of the club is to continue empowering the community and use the power of boxing to transform young lives.
