Yuli wants Yeimi!

WBC bantamweight world champion Yuliahan Luna, joined the “Coffee Tuesday” to stress that winning the famed Green and Gold Belt, was her dream, but there will be no daydreams in successfully defending it.

“I am very happy, very excited, I am very proud of the recognition that the WBC gave me as Revelation Of The Year.  For me it is an honor to belong to this great family that is the World Boxing Council, it was my dream. If I had the opportunity to move up a division and face the champion Yamileth I would do it. I like to face the challenges that life presents me and for me it would be an honor.

The night I was crowned against Mariana Juárez, I think I was the only one who certainly knew that I would take that belt home.   I showed what I’m made of; however. And now the  responsibility of possessing Green and Gold obliges me to be better every day, to strive and work with much greater discipline.”

About her first defense, Yulihan says she still does not have a defined date, nor a rival, but she hopes to get back in the ring in mid or late March.
