
This Saturday, American Anthony Dirrell (32-1-1, 24 KOs) and Turkey`s Avni Yildirum (21-1, 12 KOs), will clash for the vacant super middleweight title of the World Boxing Council, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Yildrim is closing his camp after a meticulous preparation for the important challenge of his career, in which he could become the first champion of Turkey recognized by the WBC.
Avni, at the Ten Goose Boxing gym in Los Angeles, said:
“I’m proud of this fight. I’m going to do the best I can and win the belt for Turkey. This is a historic fight. I`m excellent condition. I do not underestimate my rival as he is a former world champion. I am very well prepared and motivated to fulfill my dream this Saturday. ”
The card will be broadcast by FOX and FOX Sports (10 pm ET / 7 pm PT).
