Yamileth Mercado keen to return to the ring

WBC super bantamweight  champion, Yamileth Mercado, who won the title on November 16th last year,  by defeating Fatuma Zarika, will see action on the star studded bill of the third exhibition between Julio Cesar Chávez and Jorge Arce,  at the Las Torres de Tijuana hotel, on Friday.

Yamileth, who was left with the desire to defend the crown against Catherine Phiri as planned in March, is very happy to be able to put on the gloves again and get on the ring as part of such an important card against touch and capable Dayanna Gonzalez in an eight round fight.

Absolutely determined to show that the months of quarantine have not affected her physical condition, Yamileth is convinced that the fight will end before the final bell rings. She added that after this fight new challenges will open for her,  because she knows that great things are definitely on the way.
