One topic in\u00a0particular is\u00a0scoring criteria.<\/p>\n<p>Scoring Criteria is the key for\u00a0performance of judges. It needs to be\u00a0transparent and clear in order to\u00a0achieve\u00a0uniformity and consistency. Criteria is like language so it needs to have perfect wording to reflect its principles and generalities so everyone can fully understand and execute\u00a0according to such criteria.<\/p>\n<p>The WBC is in absolute support of the new criteria\u00a0regarding knockdowns set in writing by the ABC for\u00a0immediate application in the USA . \u00a0This is accepted and consistent to our guidelines and will be taught in all training and\u00a0certification processes of the NABF and \u00a0WBC with\u00a0immediate effect on all WBC\u00a0world wide championship fights.<\/p>\n<p>The WBC hereby congratulates the ABC on taking this important step towards\u00a0addressing officiating and its many needs to continue improving of\u00a0the benefit of our sport.<\/p>\n<p>The specific\u00a0amendment is the following:<\/p>\n<p><strong>It is mandatory to score 10-8 on a round where a fighter is knocked down, unless there is an unquestionable outstanding domination from the boxer that was knocked down.
