The WBC and the BC Drug Addicts Anonymous sign agreement<\/strong><\/h2>\n

At the auditorium of the Institute of Higher Education of the Auxiliary Police, WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman and Artemio Manzano, national vice president of Drug Addicts Anonymous, signed a cooperation agreement to help women, men and adolescents who have drug addiction problems and who voluntarily request help.<\/p>\n

Artemio, who just managed to rehabilitate himself thanks to this civil association, was emphatic in saying that society needs to be more empathetic and understand that substance use is a social problem, understanding that we all deserve a helping hand and especially that all human beings have the right to a second chance.<\/p>\n

He added that the rehabilitation offered by Drogadictos An\u00f3nimos, A.C. is through the practice of a set of activities that cover their physical, mental and spiritual aspect, contributing to their social reintegration.<\/p>\n

Grateful to the WBC for joining this cause and setting an example for other organizations, Artemio trusts that with the Green and Gold Emblem of hope, younger people will see the beacon of light, since we have all witnessed that boxing saves lives.<\/p>\n

With the pride of having been able to get out of that purgatory, the great champion Carlos Z\u00e1rate frankly, honestly, bravely and admirably shared his experience with everyone present.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you don’t have your feet on the ground. The consequences are terrible. After being world champion I started using drugs. I went through very bad times, I was killing myself for many years. Thanks to Don Jos\u00e9 I recovered and climbed back.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow I can help young people, boxers and members of the boxing family who are struggling. I am very grateful to have been able to change this dynamic and be the example that wanting to be cured is power.<\/p>\n

The WBC President reinforced the commitment to reinvigorate and reinforce a united front to help raise awareness about drug abuse and how a bad decision can end our lives.<\/p>\n
