Symbology of the Puebla \/ Jalisco Belt for Canelo\/Ryder<\/strong><\/h2>\n

On May 6th Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, will defend his WBC super middleweight world title against British John Ryder at the iconic Akron Stadium in Zapopan, Jalisco.<\/p>\n

The Victor\u00a0<\/span>will be lauded and applauded with the Puebla \/ Jalisco belt, a true jewel of crafts from both states, a mixture of bright colors of vivid landscapes, cultures and traditions.<\/span><\/p>\n

This BEAUTIFUL recognition was created by the brilliant artisans of the Talavera de la Reyna workshop who used two of the most important craft techniques in the State of Puebla, talavera and embroidery.<\/p>\n

At first glance, the belt is a riot of color, with hues ranging from fiery reds and oranges to cool minty blues and lush greens; with intricate details that make it really special with symbolism depicting the most iconic of the states of Puebla and Jalisco.<\/p>\n

China Poblana: a symbol of strength and resistance in Mexican culture.<\/p>\n

Popocat\u00e9petl volcano: a testament to the power and beauty of nature.<\/p>\n

Agave: Homage to the region’s most famous and succulent crop, as this plant is used to produce the beloved Mexican drink tequila; it is a symbol of both hard work and celebration.<\/p>\n

Charro suit buttons: the most iconic in the country, a symbol of strength, elegance and poise.<\/p>\n

Tequila Volcano: testimony of the beauty of the relief of the West of the country.<\/p>\n

Angels that support the Cathedral of Puebla: one of the most important buildings in the historic center declared a World Heritage Site.<\/p>\n

Talavera: Recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and Denomination of Origin that guarantees this artisan process and of great identity value. What a glittering prize!<\/p>\n
