Preparation Ready for the Commemoration of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This morning in the traditional “Coffee Tuesdays” Dr. Daniel Aceves, President of the Mexican Olympic MEdallists Association, & Fundaci\u00f3n Alfredo Harp Hel\u00fa Director as well as the President of the WBC, Mr. Mauricio Sulaim\u00e1n announced its participation in the celebrations of the next April 6, the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, with the aim of giving an opportunity to celebrate the power of sport to promote social change, community development, to promote equity and inclusion and to foster peace and understanding among people, communities and nations.<\/p>\n

Mauricio Sulaim\u00e1n said that for the organization, boxing is the main tool to bring a message of peace to the world, as well as a motivation for children and young people to follow their dreams and keep them away from addictions and violence, bringing them closer to a different way of life that allows them to develop in an integral way.<\/p>\n

He thanked all those who have joined this great movement and urged all sports and educational entities, national and international Olympic committees, federations and athletes to be part of the 2023 #whitecard campaign that promotes the positive and constructive values of sport and that each year reaches millions of people through social media social.<\/p>\n

The #WhiteCard is recognized as the symbol used to celebrate the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace on April 6 since 2013.<\/p>\n

Dr. Daniel Aceves explained that sport is the best ally for health, development, the union between societies, the<\/p>\n

social change, to promote equity and inclusion and to promote peace and understanding between people, communities and nations, hence the importance of uniting and making the power of sport known.<\/p>\n

He explained that sport is the way to promote values such as peace, solidarity, tolerance, teamwork and justice and therefore it is everyone’s responsibility to spread this message and be part of this movement.<\/p>\n

Finally, he explained that for this year he will seek to help athletes and Paralympic athletes with medical service, as well as promote a series of actions to prevent addictions.<\/p>\n
