Madison Square Garden in New York will once again host an historic card, when Amanda Serrano, from Puerto Rico, the unified 126-pound champion, fights the champion of the WBA, the Mexican \u00c9rika Cruz, this Saturday, February 4, 2023.<\/p>\n

It writes another glorious chapter of the intensely competitive rivalry between Puerto Rico and Mexico.<\/p>\n

Serrano (43-2-1, 30 KOs) most recently fought in September when she defeated previously unbeaten world champion Sarah Mahfoud of Denmark by unanimous decision.<\/p>\n

Cruz won the WBA belt in April 2021, when she defeated former two-division world champion Jelena Mrdjenovich of Canada by technical decision in New York.<\/p>\n

In another big bout, WBC super featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner will attempt to become the undisputed 130-pound champion when she takes on Elhem Mekhaled.
\nAt the end of 2021, Baumgardner conquered the WBC crown by defeating Terri Haper. She made a successful defense against Argentina\u2019s Edith Soledad Matthysse and then faced Mikaela Mayer in a war.<\/p>\n

The four main fighters of this card were face to face at the final pressing engagement
