Baumgardner aims to be undisputed champion<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The year 2022 was a great time for our proud super featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner.<\/p>\n

At the end of 2021, Baumgardner conquered the WBC crown by surprisingly defeating Terri Haper.<\/p>\n

She made a successful defense against Argentina’s Edith Soledad Matthysse and then fought a spirited war against Mikaela Mayer, defeating her via split decision to snatch two belts \u00a0in one of the best fights of the year.<\/p>\n

Now Baumgardner hopes to continue that success in 2023 and next month she will attempt to become the undisputed 130-pound champion when she takes on Elhem Mekhaled in New York.<\/p>\n
