Let’s keep Helping! These are our WBC Cares social responsibility campaigns for 2023<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Since its creation, the World Boxing Council has been committed not only to sport and boxers, but also to society and attention to various issues.<\/p>\n

At the WBC we have always supported human rights, inclusion, the eradication of discrimination, promoting sports as a means to promote social change, community development, encouraging equity and to promote peace and understanding. The very core values with which Don Jos\u00e9 Sulaiman always conducted himself, committed to honesty, responsibility, respect, solidarity, loyalty and friendship.<\/p>\n

This commitment to social causes led the WBC to give shape, form and reality to one of the dreams of our Lifetime President Jose Sulaiman, who always wanted to help boxers, but also, children and young people. A man who deeply cared, and who for many years he did it privately and discreetly. However, he wanted this help to have more scope and reach. He decided to make it official, so that more and more people would join this great initiative, reinforcing a message of hope -through our champions- to all those children and young people who are going through a difficult time, showing them that just like world champions, with faith, effort and courage you can overcome any obstacle. WBC Cares is a unique and non-profit program based on the principles of social responsibility.<\/p>\n

Today, WBC Cares has the support of thousands of volunteer members from the countries affiliated with our organization. Our great athletes and world champions visit youth centers, hospitals, gyms, orphanages and disaster areas with supplies and inspirational messages. In addition, we link up with charitable organizations, with the mission of making our world a better place.<\/p>\n

This 2023, we will continue to work harder than ever! We are convinced that our messages and our efforts will be replicated and that we will be the VOICE of those who need it most. Join us!<\/p>\n

January:<\/strong> Children\u00b4s safety. This month we join a campaign to prevent accidents of youngsters.<\/p>\n

February:<\/strong> As young people matter to us! this month we address teenagers` health, especially eating disorders.<\/p>\n

March:<\/strong> This month we commemorate the struggle of all women who seek to build a better world, achieve equality and eradicate gender violence.<\/p>\n

April:<\/strong> Because we are all different, unique, and special, deserving of love and respect! we join a beautiful campaign to raise awareness about autism. This month we also joined the campaign for peace, and we are convinced that boxing is the main tool to carry a message of unity to all corners of the world.<\/p>\n

May:<\/strong> This month we celebrate all boxers, but also, we raise our voices to carry the message to all communities that mental health is something NOT to be ashamed of.<\/p>\n

June:<\/strong> We join the celebration of Juneteenth, a day of we commemorate freedom at the end of the Civil War in the United States.<\/p>\n

July:<\/strong> We celebrate International Day of Nelson Mandela, the greatest defender of human rights and we continue adding all the help for those most in need through the Jos\u00e9 Sulaim\u00e1n Fund.<\/p>\n

August:<\/strong> This month we dedicate ourselves to raising awareness and eradicating the use of prohibited substances not only in sports but also outside the ring.<\/p>\n

September:<\/strong> We join the World Alzheimer’s month in an international campaign to raise awareness and challenge the stigma around dementia, we also continue fighting to KO Bullying.<\/p>\n

October:<\/strong> At the WBC we dress in pink and join the fight against breast cancer, a deadly illness that is no stranger to any woman, since it does not respect age or social status but is CURABLE if detected in time. We also dedicate this month to raising awareness about domestic violence.<\/p>\n

November:<\/strong> We will join the “Movember” campaign that seeks to raise awareness about men’s health, focusing on prostate cancer.<\/p>\n

December:<\/strong> As every year we want the joy of many smiles, so we continue with the great festive collection of toys and the message of our ambassadors to care for and respect the family, the most sacred treasure we have.<\/p>\n
