The Senate lauds and applauds Julio C\u00e9sar Ch\u00e1vez<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Senate of the Mexican Republic recognized Julio C\u00e9sar Ch\u00e1vez for his brilliantly outstanding sports career, his fight against addictions among young people and his great personality.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The ceremony was held in the Sessions Hall of the Senate, with the presence of Mauricio Sulaim\u00e1n, President \u00a0of the World Boxing Council, and champion Jacky Calvo.<\/span><\/p>\n

Julio C\u00e9sar Ch\u00e1vez thanked the Senate for this recognition and mentioned that his career was not easy, because in the build up to \u00a0each fight there was a grueling \u00a0preparation, demanding full focus and total concentration.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI had a dream, to be world champion; That was what I promised my mother and thank God I achieved it<\/em>\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

The boxer also recalled that he had an addiction problem, “Everyone\u00a0knows and I do not regret it, I do not regret it because God gave me another chance at life” and now I have a recovery program with which I have \u00a0been able to help many people<\/i> .<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThat is what I do now, saving lives. Just as they saved my life, now I am also dedicated to saving lives, to saving young people, so that they stay away from drugs and alcohol, because it is possible, of course you can live without alcohol and drugs<\/i> \u201c.<\/span><\/p>\n

Previously, the president of the Political Coordination Board, Ricardo Monreal \u00c1vila, recognized the former boxer and world champion for his distinguished sporting career.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Monreal \u00c1vila said that he was an outstanding professional boxer, one of the best boxers in the world, who won world titles in three different weight divisions: super featherweight, lightweight and super lightweight.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

” For all the matches you had we recognize you as an exceptional athlete and a man with a special human quality, therefore, we are pleased that a boxing legend is here,<\/i>” said the legislator.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Mexican Senate reiterates that it is a place where legends, men and women who have triumphed are recognized, “for this reason the recognition given to Julio Cesar Ch\u00e1vez is unanimous and plural, of senators,<\/i>” because it is an example among childhood and youth, affirmed Ricardo Monreal.<\/span><\/p>\n
