WBC Mandatories<\/strong><\/h2>\n

There\u2019s a who who of boxing, but even more important, is who fights who?<\/p>\n

The WBC Mandatory session at Convention 60 provided the exact and precise countdown.<\/p>\n

At heavyweight,
\nChampion: Tyson Fury
\nAndy Ruiz will fight Deontay Wilder in a final eliminator,<\/p>\n

Bridgerweight. Champion Oscar Rivas who was going to fight in his home country of Colombia will now fight in Poland against Lukasz Rozanski. His second mandatory will be against the winner of Alen Babic and Ryad Merhy. They contest a final eliminator.<\/p>\n

Cruiserweight. Champion Illunga \u201cJunior\u201d Makabu has a voluntary, and then after that, a mandatory against Noel Mikaelyn. Thabiso Mchunu Vs Badou Jack in a final eliminator. Coincidentally Thabiso has already fought Junior twice.<\/p>\n

Light heavyweight. Artur Beterbiev fights a WBO defence against Britain\u2019s Anthony Yarde and then his WBC mandatory commitment.<\/p>\n

Super middleweight. Champion Canelo has undergone surgery and is having rehab on his left wrist. David Benav\u00eddez who is interim champion will fight Caleb Plant in March. The winner becomes the mandatory challenger.<\/p>\n

Middleweight. Champion Jermall Charlo has recently been injured. This will be accessed. Interim champion Carlos Adame who is at the Convention asked to be made the mandatory challenger. He also got a hug from Sampson Lewkowicz!<\/p>\n

Super welterweight. An application from Sampson for \u201cTowering Inferno\u201d Sebastian Fundora to be the mandatory for champion Jermell Charlo after Jermell has fought Tim Tszyu. Meanwhile, Unified Champion Alycia Baumgardner, who\u00b4s trained by Tony Harrison proposed the fight Sebastian vs. former champ Tony Harrison, for mandatory spot. Both teams and the WBC Board of Governors accepted this with alacrity.<\/p>\n

Welterweight. The Spence Vs Crawford fight withered on the vine, so Keith Thurman is the mandatory.<\/p>\n

Super lightweight. Regis Prograis and Jose \u201cChon\u201d Zepeda fight for the vacant title.<\/p>\n

Lightweight. Champion Devin Haney will fight Vasyliy Lomachenko.<\/p>\n

Super featherweight. Featherweight champion Rey Vargas who was previously super bantamweight champion, moves up to fight O\u2019Shaquie Foster for the vacant crown. The winner then has a mandatory against Eduardo \u201cRocky\u201d Hernandez.<\/p>\n

Featherweight. After the Foster fight Vargas must decide if he wants to stay at super feather or go back to feather. Super bantamweight Stephen Fulton will move up to featherweight to contest the interim title.<\/p>\n

Super bantamweight. Final eliminator between Luis Nery and Azat Hovhannisyan.<\/p>\n

Bantamweight. Naoya Inoue fights WBO champion Paul Butler to get an undisputed champion. If he then moves up in weight Jason Moloney and Nonito Donaire will fight for the vacant title if not this match will produce the mandatory challenger. Both Jason and Nonito were on hand for a gentlemanly face off.<\/p>\n

Super flyweight. Roman \u201cChocolatito\u201d Gonzalez Vs Juan Francisco \u201cGallo\u201d Estrada for the vacant title. Their thrillogy trilogy. Andrew Moloney Vs Pedro \u201cPedrin\u201d Guevara for the mandatory.<\/p>\n

Flyweight. JC Martinez will fight on December against a rival to be determined. His fight against McWilliams Arroyo has been postponed six times. Now McWilliams is injured. Angel Ayala was confirmed as mandatory, he is available in case Rey\u00b4s team is willing to fight him on December.<\/p>\n

Light Flyweight. Champion Kenshiro Teraji defended his WBC belt last week. Hekkie Budler is confirmed as mandatory.<\/p>\n

Straw weight. Champ Panya Pradabsri awaits the Victor of Luis Castillo Vs Ayanda Ndulani.<\/p>\n
