Marku and Parra ready to challenge for WBC Silver title<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Boxxer-promoted welterweight Florian Marku (11-0-1, 7 Ko’s), one of today’s brightest prospects, will have a tough test against tough Mexican fighter Miguel Parra Ram\u00edrez (21-2- 1, 14 Ko’s) at the Air Albania Stadium in Tirana, Albania, with the World Boxing Council Silver welterweight title at stake, on August 25.<\/p>\n

‘The Albanian King’, who is trained by Grant Smith in Sheffield and directed by Adam Morallee’s SJAM Boxing, seeks with to take another step in the pursuit of his dream of becoming world champion.<\/p>\n

Parra Ram\u00edrez, who has only boxed outside of Mexico once, in the United States in May 2019 defeating David Morales, is highly motivated by this opportunity.<\/p>\n

Both fighters and their respective teams, showing their professionalism and commitment, submitted their 14-day pre-fight weigh-ins. Florian registered 69.3 kilos, while Parra was 69.5 kilos.<\/p>\n

One of the main priorities of the World Boxing Council is the full implementation of the Weight Control Program, which aims to protect the health of fighters.<\/p>\n

For the 30-day weigh-in, boxers must weigh no more than 10% of their division limit, for the 14-day weigh-in no more than 5%, and for the 7-day weigh-in 3%.<\/p>\n
