Adonis Stevenson: Champion of Hope<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u00a0<\/span>At\u00a0 \u201cThe Jab\u201d gym in Mexico City, former light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson was present to truly inspire, at a press conference held by the WBC.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Adonis was recognized by WBC President Mauricio Sulaim\u00e1n, for being an example of courage and perseverance, remembering that he had a miraculous recovery after an accident he suffered in the ring in 2018.<\/span><\/div>\n
At the 2019 World Boxing Council convention, Stevenson was named the Champion of Hope, for coming out ahead from the toughest fight of his life outside the ring.<\/span><\/div>\n

This Thursday the President of the WBC presented Adonis a world champion bracelet so that the colors Green and Gold are always with him\u00a0 in this new stage as WBC Ambassador.<\/div>\n
Adonis commented, \u201cI feel very happy and grateful with life. God is on my side. There are people who are surprised that I have had a recovery from such a complicated injury. I feel very good and very happy to be here,<\/span><\/div>\n

\u201cThanks for the hospitality to Mexico and the WBC, I fought hard in my boxing career and I fought even harder to continue living. I am proud to be named Champion of Hope. Now what I have to do is bring hope to the whole world and teach everyone that dreams can be achieved,<\/span><\/div>\n
