Attention! WBC salutes \u201cBazooka\u201d<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The WBC and the entire boxing family salute Rafael Lim\u00f3n, a boxer who raised the name of Mexico and who also enlisted in the Mexican Army at the tender age of 18 in 1972.<\/p>\n

Rafael spent a short time as an amateur, but quickly joined the professional ranks where he dazzled with his great southpaw power, with which he won the WBC super featherweight world title twice.<\/p>\n

He fought Bobby Chacon four times, winning, then a draw and two defeats, describing the late Bobby as a great fighter, a dear friend and a wonderful man.<\/p>\n

Rafael accompanied by Wife Reyna said that boxing is his life and that thanks to this sport. He achieved his dreams, met the world and received the admiration of the people.<\/p>\n

Today he remembers those glory years fondly and hopes that many young people will follow his example.<\/p>\n

A huge round of applause as WBC Sub-Director, V\u00edctor Silva, together with former world champion and icon of women’s boxing Ana Maria Torres presented Rafael with a Green and Gold bracelet, so that he can always remember the affection and admiration that the boxing family has for him.<\/p>\n
