Yesenia G\u00f3mez keen to defend her Green and Gold<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The current WBC light flyweight world champion, Yesenia G\u00f3mez, visited us in the traditional “Coffee Tuesdays” first to greet the organization’s top official, the friends of the press and also to talk about the defense she will have in Canada against Kim Clavel which was again postponed due to the COVID-19 virus.<\/p>\n

Yesenia was clear in saying that she understands that many things can happen in this sport and that the pandemic came to reinforce this; however, she feels frustrated because this isn’t the first time this defense has been postponed.<\/p>\n

She clarified that she is waiting for a new date but also for compensation because she trained and prepared for this clash that didn\u2019t happen.<\/p>\n

She thanked all the support of the WBC and her promoter, who have always been in her corner and commented that she is ready to defend her crown wherever and with whomever.<\/p>\n
