Charlo trains flat out for Casta\u00f1o<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Unified WBC, WBA and IBF Super Welterweight Champion Jermell Charlo and WBO Champion Brian Casta\u00f1o will clash on May 14 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a rematch of one of the most important fights of 2021, where both will seek to become the first undisputed champion of the division.<\/p>\n

Charlo, who is undergoing an exacting training camp guided by renowned trainer Derrick James, commented:<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to win the fight by knockout. This is one of the great achievements that a fighter can have, to be indisputed. So I’m going to enjoy this moment and I’m going to have fun on May 14, five days before my birthday. I am ready to win this fight in an impressive way.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am training differently this time. I am more dedicated than ever. I’m hungrier. I don’t know what’s next after this fight in my life and I’m glad God gave me the chance to face the same opponent and just have a better performance. It’s about me being the best Jermell Charlo.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had back spasms in the training camp of the first fight. I mean I came to this camp doing things the old-fashioned way. At first, it was being superstar Jermell Charlo. I put that aside and now it’s about digging deeper into the Jermell Charlo that I really am and testing myself with my training.”<\/p>\n
