Worth the wait! Donaire Vs Inoue 2 in Japan<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Japanese Naoya Inoue and the Filipino Nonito Donaire fight each other again 31 months after their first classic, in Japan.<\/p>\n

In that battle, many thought that Nonito would have little chance because up to that point Naoya had lived up to his nickname of Monster. The reality is that the ‘Filipino Flash’ showed immense qualities, skills and resolve to get up from the canvas and fight back to make it a grandstand finish to an all-time classic.<\/p>\n

Since then, Naoya had to wait just over 11 months to return to the ring, as he suffered a fractured right eye socket. Since then he has achieved three victories and all by way of knockout. Jason Moloney was down in seven, Michael Dasmarinas in three and Aran Dipaen in eight rounds.<\/p>\n

Nonito comes from scoring important victories and with better opposition than Naoya. Though he didn’t fight in all of 2020, he came back in a big way in 2021 to dethrone Nordine Oubaali as World Boxing Council bantamweight champion, and in his first defense, he defeated compatriot Reymart Gaballo without problems.<\/p>\n

It will be next June 7 at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan when both warriors will have their long-awaited rematch.
\nFor this second date, Nonito will arrive with a record of 42-6 and 28 knockouts, while Naoya will do so with a record of 22-0 and 19 knockouts.<\/p>\n
