{"id":71417,"date":"2022-05-01T10:32:41","date_gmt":"2022-05-01T15:32:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wbcboxing.com\/?p=71417"},"modified":"2022-05-01T10:32:41","modified_gmt":"2022-05-01T15:32:41","slug":"taylor-takes-the-win-on-historic-card","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wbcboxing.com\/en\/taylor-takes-the-win-on-historic-card\/","title":{"rendered":"Taylor takes the win on historic card"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Taylor takes the win on historic card<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano made history this Saturday by headlining a card for the first time at Madison Square Garden in New York.<\/p>\n<p>After 10 hard-fought rounds that offered thrills from start to finish, Ireland&#8217;s Katie Taylor prevailed as the winner by split decision to retain her WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF lightweight titles.<\/p>\n<p>In a very close fight, two judges gave it 96-93 and 97-93 for Taylor and one 95-94 for Serrano.<\/p>\n<p>The Irishwoman kept all the 135-pound titles and confirmed herself as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in history.<\/p>\n<p>Both fighters offered a spectacular bout, leaving all fans wanting to see a second edition of this war.<\/p>\n<p>With this victory, Taylor improved her record to 21-0, with 6 knockouts.
