Taylor and Serrano face to face<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This Wednesday a press conference was held to present the long-awaited fight between Irish Katie Taylor and Puerto Rican Amanda Serrano, on April 30 at Madison Square Garden in New York.<\/p>\n

A battle starring two of the best fighters, to define once and for all who is the greatest pound for pound of the moment.<\/p>\n

Taylor (20-0 6 KOs) puts all lightweight belts on the line for the sixth time since winning them in June 2019 in a war with Delfine Persoon and defeating the Belgian in a rematch in England, before repelling challenges of Miriam Gutierrez, Natasha Jonas, Jennifer Han and Firuza Sharipova. And even more spice, as Taylor defeated Amanda’s sister Cindy in Boston in October 2018.<\/p>\n

Serrano (42-1-1 30 KOs) already has an unrivaled legacy in the sport as a seven-division world champion. Based in Brooklyn, she comes into the fight in brilliant form after knocking out Daniela Bermudez last March, dominating Yamileth Mercado in August and beating Miriam Gutierrez. Amanda was the 2021 Fighter of the Year for DAZN, ESPN and the WBC.<\/p>\n

I am honored to share the ring with Katie Taylor,” said Serrano.<\/p>\n
