World Boxing Council No. 2 ranked bantamweight and Silver champion Australian Jason Moloney (22-2, 18 KOs) aims to face No. 1 bantamweight Thai Nawaphon Kaikanha (51-1-1, 41 KOs) in a eliminatory bout, for a chance to face current division champion Nonito Donaire from the Philippines.<\/p>\n

“I want the WBC title, that’s every boxer’s dream,” Moloney said. \u201cSo if that means facing Nonito Donaire, so be it. It will be a great fight against a great champion. First of all, I have to beat whoever they put me in front of, and he seems to be a 51-1 fighter from Thailand so that’s my goal from now on, but fighting Donaire was on my Christmas list! ”<\/p>\n

“Kaikanha is a quality fighter, you don’t get to # 1 in the WBC, if you’re not, that’s the opponent I must defeat so that I can put myself in a position to fight Donaire.<\/p>\n
