Devin Haney will defend his WBC lightweight world title against Joseph ‘JoJo’ Diaz, Jr the WBC`s interim lightweight world champion, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, December 4, in live broadcast worldwide on DAZN.<\/p>\n

Undefeated superstar Haney (26-0 15 KOs) puts his crown on the line for the fourth time and the second in a row in his backyard in Las Vegas, having overcome the challenge of former world champion Jorge ‘El Ni\u00f1o Del Oro’ Linares, in a thrilling clash in May at Mandalay Bay. “The Dream” now returns to the Las Vegas Strip for what promises to be a big fight when his rivalry with Diaz, Jr. reaches boiling point.<\/p>\n

Diaz (32-1-1 15 KOs) claimed the WBC interim lightweight world title in his 135-pound debut, defeating former world champion Javier Fortuna in one of his career-best 34-fight performances. The 28-year-old made good on his promise to get deliver at lightweight with that victory, and also go after the big names in the division. He now has a chance to become a two-division world champion after having snatched the IBF super featherweight title from Tevin Farmer in Miami in January 2020.<\/p>\n
