Ilunga Makabu leads a childrens` crusade\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n

The WBC cruiserweight champion Ilunga Makabu, continues utilizing his platform in support of all the children of the Congo, for whom, he is a shining light of hope and inspiration,\u00a0 showing them that when they work with dedication and passion,\u00a0dreams are realized and fulfilled.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ilunga’s commitment to children and youth has been such that since 2013 he has helped various Foster homes through the Junior Makabu Foundation and has met with senior leaders in search of support. This specifically happened, when he was\u00a0received by the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, F\u00e9lix Tshisekedi with who he had the opportunity to talk about his plans to continue helping his country.<\/span><\/p>\n

His most recent meeting was with Madam Suzzana Taklec President of the \u201cUnion National in RDC for the Humanitary Action\u201d, a woman who has dedicated her life to creating of various programs that focus on food security and livelihoods to combat\u00a0poverty, exclusion, intolerance and discrimination.<\/span><\/p>\n

During this meeting, the champion presented Madam Suzzana with the Green and Gold Belt, as well as a t-shirt Suzzana Taklec # 1; However, the most important aspect of this meeting was the practical cooperation agreements to work hand in hand\u00a0in favour of the less fortunate through the Junior Makabu Foundation and the WBC Cares program.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our Champion`s challenge involves the problems and difficulties experienced by children and young people. One of his prime goals is to expand charitable works to other parts of the world, convincing leaders, companies, and various associations\u00a0to join this cause, because as he himself has expressed: “children and young people are the future of countries, a source of hope and those who will make this world better<\/i>.”<\/span><\/p>\n

At the WBC we are tremendously proud of our champion, due to his devoted dedication and commitment,\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0helping those most in need. This is a wonderful example for all, a beacon of inspiration and a banner of humanity at its very finest.<\/p>\n
