Undisputed lightweight champion Katie Taylor will defend her world titles against Jennifer Han at the Emerald Headingley Stadium in Leeds, UK, on \u200b\u200bSaturday, September 4.<\/p>\n

Taylor will put her undefeated professional record of 18 wins to the test, against the former American amateur champion.<\/p>\n

Taylor commented : “My father was born and raised in Leeds, so we all grew up as fans of Leeds United, There are still some Leeds United fans! I’m so excited to fight in Leeds and in front of so many fans. It’s like a second home to me so I can’t wait. It’s going to be very exciting to box in front of 20,000 people. The atmosphere It’s going to be crazy. The Leeds fans are so passionate.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the last 12 months have been fantastic for me personally. I’m still sitting here as the undisputed champion, 18-0 with some fantastic performances and some incredible fights on my record.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fights I’ve been in have taken women’s boxing to another level. This is the pinnacle of professional boxing – holding all the belts, that’s what everyone in professional boxing needs. Everyone’s dream is to become the undisputed Champion.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to continue making history. Women are definitely more inclined to take a few more risks and actually go in and take the bigger fights. In fact, we want the big fights. We are willing and we are able to get into the ring and fight against anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI expect a very tough fight. Han has a lot of amateur experience, and she is very technical. She is a six-time amateur world champion. These girls have stepped up, they have boxed beyond themselves, they have improved their game against me. I expect a very difficult fight and I will be prepared as I have been for every fight I have had in recent years.\u201d<\/p>\n
