{"id":57026,"date":"2021-07-28T14:15:52","date_gmt":"2021-07-28T19:15:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wbcboxing.com\/uzcategui-seguro-de-ganar-eliminatoria-wbc\/"},"modified":"2021-07-28T14:16:54","modified_gmt":"2021-07-28T19:16:54","slug":"uzcategui-confident-of-winning-wbc-eliminator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wbcboxing.com\/en\/uzcategui-confident-of-winning-wbc-eliminator\/","title":{"rendered":"Uzcategui confident of winning WBC eliminator"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Uzcategui confident of winning WBC eliminator<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Former world champion, Jos\u00e9 \u201cBolivita\u201d Uzcategui, will fight undefeated Mexican ex -champion David \u201cRed Flag\u201d Benavidez, in a super middle WBC elimination bout on Saturday, August 28, in a card to be held in the Phoenix Suns Arena, Arizona.<\/p>\n<p>Uzcategui, who trains in Tijuana, Baja California, is well aware of the importance, proportions and significance of this eliminatory fight.<\/p>\n<p>Jos\u00e9 Uzcategui (31-4, 26 KOs) reigned as IBF super middleweight champion since March 2018, when he defeated former champion Andre Dirrell, before losing it by decision, to reigning champion Caleb Plant in 2019. In his most recent fight, he defeated Mexican Jaime Hern\u00e1ndez by knockout in the second round last June.<\/p>\n<p>Benavidez (24-0, 21 KOs) will have his second fight back since he lost his WBC super- middleweight title on the scale in August last year.
