Undefeated WBC middleweight world champion Jermall Charlo, will defend his title against the Mexican contender, Juan Mac\u00edas Montiel, on Saturday, June 19 at the Toyota Center, in Houston, Texas.<\/p>\n

Jermall has established himself as one of the outstanding champions of the moment and will be looking to thrill the crowd in his hometown against Mexico’s Montiel. The champion will fight in Houston for the fourth time as a professional and will seek to keep his undefeated record intact, while defending his WBC laurels.<\/p>\n

Both star fighters participated in a press conference where they discussed aspects of this interesting fight:
\nJermall Charlo:<\/p>\n

“There will be fireworks on June 19. A parade. A celebration. Ronnie Shields and I have the opportunity to do it again. I am working hard to demonstrate all the hard work that I have put in for so many years. It is a dream come true to be able to fight. in my city and I get to do it with a crowd. Get your tickets because it’s going to be a great night of boxing.<\/p>\n

\u201cMontiel is not afraid. He is a fighter who deserves a chance. At this point, he understands where he is. This is a great fight. Many people may not know who Montiel is, but he is a strong fighter. People want to see great fights and I am sure that Montiel will be a great rival.”<\/p>\n
