Majestic World Boxing Council lightweight champion Devin Haney (25-0, 15 KOs), will face the three times former world champion, Jorge Linares (47-5, 29 KOs), on May 29 at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, presented by Matchroom that will be broadcast on DAZN.<\/p>\n

In his most recent bout, Haney defeated former world champion Yuriorkis Gamboa (30-4, 18 Kos) by unanimous decision in twelve rounds. Linares has not fought for more than a year, but after testing positive for coronavirus, he is already fully recovered and back training.<\/p>\n

“I am very excited to be making my third world title defense against great fighter Jorge Linares, who will be the best fighter I have ever faced in my career. He is a three-division world champion who has fought at the championship level for the last 13 years. I grew up watching Linares, and the fact that this fight is happening in Las Vegas is unbelievable.<\/p>\n
