You have to hand it to Azerbaijan…a cut above the rest<\/strong><\/h2>\n

As part of the great celebration \u201c2021 The Year of Boxing\u201d on 26-27 February Azerbaijan Professional Boxing Federation (APBF) with the support of World Boxing Council organized cutman and hand wrapping courses.<\/p>\n

APBF President Artem Hasanov, APBF First Vice President Farhad Adzhalov and Secretary General Orkhan Mukhtarov joined the great initiative to promote and celebrate boxing all over the world. The WBC has designated 2021 as a very special year for boxing, due to the challenges and difficulties that COVID 19 pandemic has brought to many boxers, trainers, promoters and fans.<\/p>\n

Seminars were held in Pullman Hotel, Baku. During the course the participants were trained and learned to do the correct taping and give first aid that the cutman should provide to the boxers. There has been a lot of discussion about the anatomy of the hands, about the injuries that boxers can suffer due to improper taping. Concluding the course, the participants received certificates and prizes.<\/p>\n
