Undisputed lightweight world champion, Irish Katie Taylor, will defend her titles against Spanish Miriam Guti\u00e9rrez, in the main event of a triple world championship card, which will be held this Saturday, November 14, at Wembley Arena, in London England.<\/p>\n

Katie Taylor (16-0, 6 KOs) retained her undisputed lightweight world title with a unanimous decision victory over Delfine Persoon in what was a well received \u00a0rematch in August.<\/p>\n

The Irish star puts her world titles on the line, once again, against Spain’s Miriam Guti\u00e9rrez (13-0, 5 KOs), who just defeated Keren Batiz.<\/p>\n

“I’m thrilled to headline another fight night,” Taylor said. “When I turned pro, it was a step into the unknown in terms of how it would all go, so having these opportunities to star in cards is something I never take for granted.<\/p>\n

“It’s been a pretty quick change since my last fight, but I’m always looking towards the next challenge and I really wanted to fight again, before the end of the year. The pandemic has obviously made it a very uncertain time in terms of fight scheduling, so I’m very excited to have a date to focus on.<\/p>\n

“I look forward to a very tough fight against an undefeated challenger, but I have been back in training camp in the United States and I am looking forward to successfully defending my titles on November 14.\u201d<\/p>\n

“I am very happy, anxious and excited,” Guti\u00e9rrez said. \u201cI am preparing 100% for this fight with Katie. This is the great challenge that I have pursued in my sports career, to be able to fight for the undisputed crown.”<\/p>\n

In the co-main event of the same card, the WBC super featherweight world champion, Britain’s Terri Harper, will be defending her title, against the WBC interim super featherweight world champion, Norway’s Katharina Thanderz.<\/p>\n

In addition, British contender Rachel Ball will face former IBF super flyweight world champion, Argentina’s Jorgelina Guanini, for the WBA bantamweight title.<\/p>\n
